William D. Lyman


Bill Lyman is the founder of the firm. Bill concentrates his practice in construction-related transactions and operations and has represented owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers in construction contract drafting and negotiation, dispute resolution including mediation, arbitration and litigation. His litigation practice includes professional liability defense, mechanics lien and insurance issues. His experience includes public and private commercial, industrial, heavy/highway, multi-family residential and institutional projects ranging in value from $1 million to $500 million.

He has served as sole arbitrator and also as chair of a three person panel in cases up to $20 million dollars. He has served as a mediator of many construction disagreements. He has been an expert witness in a number of cases involving real estate and construction issues.

Bill has tried cases in Illinois, Tennessee and Wyoming and he has litigation experience in Iowa, Washington, South Carolina, Texas and Georgia.
