Devin S. Girardi is an associate attorney with Lyman & Nielsen, LLC.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Girardi clerked for several years for the Hon. Lisa R. Curcio
in the Mechanics Lien Section of the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Mr. Girardi’s
clerkship centered on mechanics lien litigation and construction disputes. His extensive
research and writing focused primarily on mechanics lien and real property law, contract
performance issues pertaining to developers, builders, and suppliers, and construction defect disputes.
Prior to clerking for Judge Curcio, Mr. Girardi clerked for the Hon. Mary K. Rochford in the Chancery
Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County immediately prior to her election to the Illinois Appellate Court.
While in law school, Mr. Girardi gained experience in real estate and construction law working for an
attorney with clients focused on property development. There, he was exposed to the practical and legal
issues associated with buying, building, and leasing mid-size,
mixed-use construction projects in Chicago.
While in college, Mr. Girardi worked as a Summer Electrical Apprentice (IBEW Local 134) in Chicago.
